Iranian photographer and video artist Sadegh Tirafkan is very much influenced by where he is from and what he has seen.
Far removed from the clichés, which obstruct our perception of present- day Iran, Sadegh Tirafkan simply proposes that we reflect with him. We can only express our gratitude for this, by sharing one word the French and the Iranian have in common: Merci.
This image is constructed of hundreds of individual photographic portraits. Together, they form a complex geometric pattern that resembles the designs found on traditional Persian carpets. This art piece, Treasures Of The World from the British Museum, will be presented at the National Museum Of Singapore on Dec 5, 2015 - May 29, 2016
